Color-Coded Bookings
Active, completed and cancelled rentals and pending and confirmed reservations each have their own color, so you can read the state of every booking without opening it.
Week to Six-Month Views
Zoom between week, month, three-month and six-month views, step backwards and forwards, or jump to today to plan the season ahead.
Click to Book or Open
Click an empty day on a car's row to start a reservation for that car and date, or click any bar to open the reservation or rental without leaving the chart.
Drag to Reassign
Drag a reservation onto another car in the same vehicle group when you need to shuffle the fleet. The dates stay exactly as booked.
Double-Booking Protection
Behind the chart, a PostgreSQL exclusion constraint rejects overlapping rentals on the same car, even when two agents act at the same moment.
Fleet chart questions
Is the fleet chart an availability calendar?
Yes. It shows every car's rentals and reservations over time. A reservation without an assigned car is drawn on the first row of its vehicle group, so assign cars as you confirm bookings to keep every row accurate. When you create a reservation, the form also lists which cars in the group have no overlapping rental for the dates you enter.
How does the fleet chart help with fleet utilization?
Idle days show up as empty stretches on a car's row. A month or three-month view makes it easy to spot cars and vehicle classes that sit unused, so you can adjust rates, move a reservation to another car or plan the fleet for next season.
Does the fleet chart work on a tablet or phone?
Yes. NordFleet runs in the browser, and on smaller screens the chart scrolls sideways and reservations can be dragged by touch.
